Overview
Bsides is a global information security event and is the largest event of its kind in Rio de Janeiro. It was a great pleasure to represent Nym at this event, alongside some of the biggest names in the Brazilian market. It was held this Saturday, 22/03/2025.
I presented a Nym deck for about an hour, talking about mixnet technology, node management and the Nym community.

What was the reaction of the audience?
The audience, around 50 people, enjoyed the presentation and we had a good exchange of questions and answers at the end of the talk. Of those present, the vast majority of whom were information security professionals, no one knew about mixnet or the Nym project.

Yes, it happens every year, with approximately 1k people attending.
How do you plan to follow-up with this audience?
Being present at the cybersec events in Brazil, exchanging with their communities.
How did the activity help Nym community grow?
Being present at a prestigious regional technical event promotes Nym and NymVPN to a technical audience, marketing within this sector of people, who need privacy and the uses of a VPN for their work routine.
We’ve also forged closer ties with the Hack in Rio community (another regional cybersec community) and with the BSides organization.
