Community support request: Nymesis hosting costs

Hi everyone,

Nymesis has become an important tool for many Nym operators, and it has no monetization.

Bump is too shy to talk about this, so I’ll say it since I know the whole situation. Due to personal circumstances, @bumpmeup can no longer cover the Vercel hosting costs. Due to the geopolitical situation, he can’t pay for the hosting himself, so I’ve been covering it with my card.

Could NSL cover the $40/month for the hosting, starting with the May payment (end of this April)? I’ll keep my card attached and continue handling the payments.

Thanks for reading.

@sudonym
If yes, @bumpmeup will provide his wallet.

It’s not hard for me to post the bills here for every month.

Thank you for the post @unclelem. We have precedent of this already, I see no issues covering the operational costs of an important community tool like Nymesis. I will bring the proposal to the NSL council and let you know when we have a decision.

As a side note: on the long term, self-sufficiency is always preferred - we are more resilient as a community and ecosystem if our tooling can organically generate the funding it needs. Let’s think about ways Nymesis could achieve this!

I am very grateful to @unclelem for helping with the payment for Nymesis hosting! Yes, indeed, hosting payments have been causing some difficulties on my end—both financial and technical.

Just to clarify the situation: I haven’t withdrawn a single token from my share of the grant, and I’ve delegated to both my own and other nodes to support Nym’s internal economy. All this time, I’ve been covering the costs with my own funds, and recently it has become quite expensive.

A few more words. At the moment, the project’s development is frozen for some time, but I would like to return to it as soon as I have time again.
