VPN Feature (title must be at least 15 characters?)

Hi. Thanks for the product, I am enjoying it. Im sure it’s planned, but just in case- being able to save server configs, or set up “profiles”, would be great. E.g., a particular US server for entry, and a particular Swiss for exit, etcetera. Being able to ‘star’ particular servers for quick access, and also being able to save entire configs (entry, exit, advanced settings, etc) asap would be cool.

Side notes that may be of interest (or not): im running the app on grapheneOS via Fdroid. I can’t remember where i first heard of Nym. Im just testing out the free trial but will most likely take advantage of the 2year discount. Paying via cc so thanks for the option, i know yall arent fans. My political views are not totally aligned with yalls but that is okay, im happy to support and ultimately we are against a lot of the same things. Hope things continue well for you and keep working hard!

Sounds pretty cool :green_heart: Some of this is already part of the plan, but not exactly like this. We’ll share your recommendations with the team!

Sweet! There’s a lot you can do with that. To add onto what i mentioned in the post, right now, i would love to be able to just select “U.S. random” for my exit or entry, just to get a fresh set in there. Of course its also kind of fun to comb through and select, but in moments where speed is desired, profiles and quick picks will be golden.

Side note: ill be with yall for the next two years. Thanks!

Hello again. Another request- when the servers are automatically chosen, ensuring that the entry and exit do not have the same ASN Name would be great. Perhaps im mistaken, but it seems like if servers have the same asn name, then odds are they are operated by the same entity, which is a major privacy concern; am i wrong?

Yep, you’re right. We have an upcoming feature that’ll prevent this (node families).

You can read through this thread to learn how it’ll work.

Awesome, thanks!

Putting this here as the user who mentioned families in that thread has not been to the forum in some time.

RE: Node families - It may further reduce the chances of this happening and result in less routing computation for nodes if there was a max percent/number of nodes per family allowed per set. Has that been considered? This would ensure greater diversity of nodes in a similar but cheaper (in terms of compute) way.
