Revision of Swiss surveillance law VÜPF would directly target VPN & encrypted chat and email providers based in Switzerland

What will Nym do if this law passes?

Sorry for the late response on this, I missed your post. This is a great question and as you can imagine, it is on our mind a lot at Nym. It is important to note that this proposed legislation is out of character for Switzerland, which otherwise has some of the most robust legal protection of privacy, digital rights and digital freedom. It is seeing a lot of opposition in the country and together with Proton, Threema and other privacy-focused Swiss projects, we are actively fighting it as well.

If the legislation passes, we will have to reassess things and possibly move our operations to another jurisdiction. Given what I’ve heard, I personally see this unlikely - let’s hope I am right!
