Hello everyone,

I am delighted to introduce the new Onion Courier Mixnet. Anyone can run their own public or anonymous Mixnet, as it is very easy to use and requires no maintenance. I hope that some of you will want to run a mix node. Unlike the Nym Mixnet, the Onion Courier Mixnet is a high latency network that supports chains of 1 to 5 mix nodes and is intended for use with NymVPN. To receive messages, you can operate your own endpoint server.

At a later date a GUI client will be available and a Usenet and email gateway.

I hope you like the Onion Courier Mixnet as much as the Nym Mixnet!

Please note: When doing pings with the CLI client and you see for
a mix node n/a this mostly means that timeouts occured during the
connection to a Tor Hidden Service, but does not mean that the mix
node is down. In that case simply use another chain, or try again
a little later.

Usenet gateway is running :slight_smile: You will find the onion address in the README at the example message section for the client.

Added a handy utility for those who use later an email or the Usenet gateway and are in need of UTF-8 characters in the From: or Subject: header.

Updated all components, so if you use the Onion Courier Mixnet already, please update. Also added ocsend so that you can send directly large files to an ochome server, without using mix nodes.

Cover Traffic Generator (covergen) added to the repository, so that you can use it for your own Onion Courier Mixnet.

Added ocemail-server to the repository, which can be run as open relay (not recommended) or with a whitelist or blacklist with your postfix MTA, so that users can send emails to clear net email addresses, from within the Onion Courier Mixnet.
