Hacking na Web Day is community with 2,430k followers and hundreds of members all over Brazil, focused on cybersecurity debate and training. (Hacking na Web Day | LinkedIn).
They hold regular meet-ups, bringing in various experts from the cybersecurity field. In this edition, the keynote was with Nelson Brito (Blog Cisco Brasil » Nelson Brito), inventor of T50, an extremely well-known DDoS program.
nymja psydenst gave a presentation on mixnets and the Nym project, and had a good exchange with the participants. Three other members of Tupinymquim were there (@vitorsantanna, @EduardaDT and @lorifie), helping with the exchange with the community and the media.
There were around 20 people in the audience, all cybersecurity professionals. None of them had any previous knowledge of Nym, so we were able to explain from scratch what Nym mixnet is.
In addition, we strengthened our links with other privacy and technology-oriented communities, such as Hack in Rio and Menina de Cybersec, both of which were present at the events.
It was a success and we were happy to represent Nym there (
