:package: Release Binary

:page_facing_up: Changelog

In December 2025, two NIP proposals were approved, introducing new ports to the Nym network:

NIP-6: Opening ports for WhatsApp, Session, and Port 465

NIP-4:Opening Port 587

With these updates, the Nym Exit Policy now supports:

SMTP: 465, 587

Session: 22021

WhatsApp: 3478, 3480, 3484

To ensure safe use of the new ports, we’ve added a rate limiting function to the Network Tunnel Manager to prevent potential spam abuse.

All operators should re-run NTM so NymVPN users can start using the new ports immediately. Detailed steps are available here

Additional Features in this Release:

• Merge intermediate upgrade mode changes: This release contains several changelog items; see the full PR descriptionfor details.

Config migration: Updated configuration handling for smoother upgrades.

Statistics API v2: Adds a new version of VpnClientSessionReport and updates the stats API to store it.

Updated chain registry link: Ensures nodes use the latest network information.

Node Orchestration

We’re also introducing Node Orchestration to help operators manage multiple nodes efficiently. The new Orchestration menu provides step-by-step guides to:

Virtualize servers with KVM: Create VMs with the desired size, bandwidth, and capacity at a lower cost than renting VPS.

Orchestrate multiple nodes with Ansible: Use the provided template to manage many nodes effectively.

We’d love to hear how these guides work for you!

Happy updating! :tada:
