Hey guys. A very simple question, i used to use orbot to proxy a couple of apps through, but it has now changed its operation and requires the vpn slot. To confirm you used to be able to use it in vpn mode, or proxy and leave the vpn slot to another option. Can nym do this? For example proxy 3 apps through nym but not take up the vpn slot? Well, I use NymVPN and can use all my apps with it and with specially tailored apps I can use the very cool beta feature in NymVPN to use port 1080 for exclusively Mixnet routing.

but does it have to take up the vpn slot, that is what i am trying to fond out. I used to be able to proxy certain apps leaving the vpn slot available for proton, but orbot has changed the way it does it now
Well, I don’t know what you mean with slots, but once NymVPN is enabled all your traffic goes either through 2 hops (Fast Mode) or the Nym Mixnet (Anonymous Mode, Entry Gateway, 3 mix nodes and Exit Gateway) , regardless of what kind of apps you use.
NymVPN would take up a VPN slot. You can run into connection issues if you use it coupled with other VPNs on your device/network.
