From Ecuador to the world, we are celebrating Inti Raymi, the Festival of the Sun and the harvest.
As a hacktivist, I see a perfect bridge between this ancient Andean wisdom and our digital resistance:
The Sun is Open Source: Sunlight has no owner and cannot be patented. Code and knowledge should be the same: free, community-driven, and open to all.
Harvesting Resistance: Our ancestors resisted centuries of oppression to preserve their identity. Today, we fight digital colonialism. Guarding our data is the new frontier in defending our sovereignty.
Privacy is Dignity: During Inti Raymi, we dance in circles to protect one another. Online, cryptography and anonymity are our protective circle against mass surveillance. Privacy isnβt about having something to hide; itβs about having something to protect.
Our culture is sovereignty. Our data is too. Let encryption protect our voice.
Happy Inti Raymi to all my Nym family!
