Help with mobile wireguard setup

Hi there, I recently switched from Mullvad to NymVPN.

I have a Homeserver that I want to reach outside my network and I’m using wireguard to make it possible. On PC I can activate two VPNs, so no issues there. On android I can’t.

With Mullvad I made it possible by having a docker stack with wireguard and gluetun, with gluetun connecting to Mullvad via wireguard configs. NymVPN does not offer wireguard configs, so my question is:

Is there a way to make my setup work, so I can access my wireguard interface for a local ip address range, but connect to the Nym services for everything else?

I’m using LineageOS on Fairphone 6.

if the exit nym node could reach ur wireguard server it should be possible.

which port uses ur wg. server for reaching them.

How would I set that up in the nym android app? The port number is non standard (51821)

U cant, this is controlled by the exit node and if the port is open.

The Workflow should be sth. like this: Nym Client → Nym Entry/Exit Node-> Ur Wg Server.

Look in the proposals if ur port is supported:

if not, u can raise up an proposal that these port will be opened.
For testing purposes i would change the port on standard wg, to see if the issue really lies on the nym connection

So, I can’t get this to work. What I understand so far is, there is no way to connect to NYM via wireguard. Sadly, this is a dealbreaker for me.

In addition, the client on Arch Linux is very unstable and it’s frustrating to use because of constant issues.

Sadly, I bought a 1 year subscription right away, instead of trying the free trial first.

Back to Mullvad. I hope NYM VPN will be more stable in a year or so, I love the concept.
