The event dedicated to the first cryptocurrency, Bitcoin UA Meetup, took place on June 20. The meeting was attended by several dozen people, and its central topic was the issue of privacy in the Bitcoin network.

Harry Halpin spoke about how to improve the privacy of the Bitcoin network using mixnet technologies in the modern world of digital surveillance, and Oleksandr Kyrii (CEO of Rawbox Squad) proposed a mechanism to return the Internet to people’s ownership with the help of Bitcoin.

They talked about open technologies and how their use provides an advantage in the context of the war in Ukraine. The mesh network allows for the highest level of anonymity of communications, and ready-made devices with mesh on board simplify the use of this technology and help to scale the entire network.
