On my 7 day trial and having this constant issue with the VPN app on my Galaxy Z-Fold 7 and on Arch Linux.
Both dVPN and Mixnet (left on defaults) when connecting I see this error
“couldn’t establish the connection after several attempts”
Changing locations manually sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t
Running 2026.12-2 on Android and Arch
Tried with wifi turned off on my phone and its working much better, turns out the issue is with my home wifi, will investigate.
Advanced Threat Detection on my router was the root cause, disabling this has resulted in the VPN connection getting established every time now across all my devices
That’s interesting. Do you know what that feature does exactly? If this is blocking NYM entry IPs that would be very concerning in my opinion, also which company sells that router?
I’m very glad that you noticed this and hope that it will keep working for you 
Its a router from Sky UK on their 2.5gbit package, too be honest it tells me next to nothing about what it does, from the logs I can gather it scans websites and blocks any which it thinks are dangerous.
As it’s labelled Advanced Security - Threat Monitoring & Real Time Reporting, I can only guess its looking at the traffic across all my devices going out to the internet and blocking whatever it deems dangerous, including Nym VPN!
Might of spoke too soon, issue has come back but its not as bad as before, will do some more digging when I get time.
Phone works every single time still, on my laptop running Arch it doesn’t,…. definitely not a Nym issue 
Turning on Stealth API connect has hopefully sorted it now on my laptop
Very weird that you’d need that with a UK provider. To me this is very surprising.
Glad that you managed to get around that censorship (if it is) though!
Its not perfect but a lot better than before, got 3 days to decide whether to go for the full 12 months or do a monthly and see how I get on.

I spoke too soon, pretty much all the time now it takes 3 attempts to establish a VPN connection.
@salazar I checked the release notes for the beta, not seeing anything relating to the issue I am facing?
Can you provide logs and diagnostics? Also, are you using any particular nodes that you’re seeing these connection issues with?
There is no pattern, does it if I select individual servers or if I just select a entry and exit country etc.
